Forest Restoration in Gasville-Oisème

In Gasville-Oisème, the Town Hall has decided to restore the forest on land adjoining the leisure centre. Sick ash trees had to be felled and we are going to recreate a forest space against the existing wooded space. We have created walking paths in this area near houses on the edge of the Roguenette.
The Gasville-Oisème planting of more than 6,000 trees and shrubs of 27 local species, was carried out in January 2022, and 3,000 additional trees were planted in December to finalize this 3,000m2 climate forest.
The objective of planting this project is to densify the vegetation of a natural area already present and encourage the return of biodiversity</ span>, to create a haven of freshness for the inhabitants and a carbon sink for the town of Gasville-Oisème. The planting was carried out by the teams of Treeseve with the use of planters from the green spaces of the ESAT “Les Ateliers vers l ‘Autonomy‘.
